As usual, Guilfest boasts the most eclectic line-up of any festival this summer meaning there is something for everyone.  Headlining GuilFest this year are legendary grandmasters of electronica, ORBITAL, pioneers of synthesised pop, THE HUMAN LEAGUE and the gods of rock and roll that are STATUS QUO! Also on the line up there is N-Dubz, Tinie Tempah, Level 42, The South (Formerly The Beautiful South), Hadouken!, Hawkwind, The Blackout, Chase & Status (DJ Set) and many, many more!

New for GuilFest this year are our Ceroc Dance Area – where you can learn the jive craze that is currently sweeping the nation and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls River Cottage Cafe and workshops – featuring River Cottage twists on some festival favourites such as organic bacon sandwiches, smoothies, spicy mutton burgers and other culinary delights; as well as special workshops teaching you how to live off the land from the stars of Hugh’s Channel 4 show, “Three Hungry Boys.”

The five-piece Brit Award nominated band, ‘The Feeling’, will be playing after racing on Thursday 15th July 2010. Spandau Ballet will be live on stage after a full card of evening racing at Sandown Park, so after winning gold on the the horses, you can watch Spandau Ballet sing…er…Gold!

Spandau Ballet are lead singer Tony Hadley, Steve Norman, John Keeble and twin brothers Martin and Gary Kemp. The British band will be performing next Thursday as part of their Reformation reunion tour which will focus on their greatest hits as well as a selection of songs from their new album ‘Once More’.

They had their first hit in November 1980 with ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’.  They went on to release six studio albums and had 10 UK top 10 singles, topping the charts with ‘True’ in 1983.  The band lasted ten years, a career arc that spanned the Eighties in perfect symmetry, from the nightclubs of Soho and Ibiza to Hollywood and the stadiums of Europe and Australia.

Throughout the summer there is the opportunity go to your nearest racecourse in the evening to enjoy a full card of racing, followed by a live music performance from internationally acclaimed acts such as JLS, Razorlight, Spandau Ballet and Madness.

The Racecourse Music Nights are among the biggest dates in the Jockey Club’s calendar with major music acts performing live against the stunning backdrop of the racecourse.
